Overview

Semester Four – represents the culmination of the academic journey, refining students’ understanding of Islamic knowledge through consolidation, application, and scholarly discipline. Building upon firm foundations in belief, worship, and methodology, this semester emphasizes safeguarding the Sunnah, applying Islamic law to real-life responsibilities, and completing a comprehensive engagement with the Qur’an and its sciences. Students advance in Aqeedah through classical works that protect sound belief and clarify the principles governing creed, while fiqh studies address family law, oaths, and vows—areas that require wisdom, accountability, and legal precision. Continued study of Tafseer and Arabic completes the journey through the Qur’an, deepening sincerity, reflection, and reliance upon Allah. Alongside this, focused training in Hadith, spiritual purification, and the sciences of Hadith and Usool al-Fiqh equips students with the tools, methodology, and responsibility needed to engage Islamic knowledge with confidence, balance, and integrity beyond the classroom.

Tafseer & Arabic (Completion of Qur’anic Study)

In Tafseer 4, students complete their journey through the Qur’an using Tafseer As-Sa‘di, covering Surah An-Naba’ to Surah An-Nas. These final surahs reinforce essential themes of faith, sincerity, reliance upon Allah, and conscious preparation for the Hereafter, calling the believer to reflection, humility, and steadfastness. Through their study, students develop a deeper awareness of accountability, divine guidance, and the spiritual realities that shape a believer’s life.

Alongside this, Arabic 4 strengthens advanced grammatical application through verb structures and direct Qur’anic analysis, enabling students to connect linguistic rules to authentic textual usage. This stage allows students to engage the Qur’an with greater fluency, depth, and confidence as they conclude their foundational Arabic studies and prepare for continued learning and reflection.

Aqeedah (Safeguarding the Sunnah & Sound Methodology)

In Semester 4, students complete their Aqeedah studies by focusing on protecting correct belief and sound methodology through the study of Sharh as-Sunnah by Imam Al-Barbahari and Qawa‘id al-Muthla by Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen. This stage emphasizes firm adherence to the Sunnah, clarity in understanding the principles governing Allah’s names and attributes, and awareness of the dangers of innovation, distortion, and deviation in matters of belief. Students are guided to recognize how sound creed is preserved through textual evidence, scholarly principles, and consistency upon the way of the early generations.

Through this structured study, students develop a strong framework for safeguarding belief, enabling them to remain steadfast upon authentic Aqeedah while engaging differing viewpoints with knowledge, balance, and intellectual discipline.

Fiqh (Family Law & Binding Commitments)

Fiqh 4 addresses essential legal rulings related to marriage, divorce, oaths, and vows, continuing the structured study of Akhsar al-Mukhtasarat. Students examine how Islamic law regulates family relationships, establishes mutual rights and responsibilities, and safeguards justice, mercy, and stability within society. Particular attention is given to the conditions, pillars, and consequences of marital contracts, separation, and binding statements such as oaths and vows.

Through this course, students gain practical fiqh needed for major life decisions, developing a clear understanding of accountability before Allah and adherence to divine guidance in both personal conduct and communal affairs.

Hadith, Tazkiyah & Scholarly Foundations

Semester 4 further refines scholarly maturity through advanced Hadith studies, incorporating narrations from Bulugh al-Maram alongside selected hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari, strengthening students’ ability to connect textual evidence with legal rulings and juristic reasoning. This stage deepens understanding of how hadith function as foundations for fiqh, allowing students to appreciate the methodology of the scholars in deriving law from revelation. Tazkiyah 4 focuses on purification of the soul and clearly distinguishing between Sunnah and bid‘ah, cultivating sincerity, humility, and steadfastness upon the truth while safeguarding religious practice from deviation.
