Overview

Semester Three – marks a transition from foundational learning to deeper analysis and practical application, guiding students toward a more comprehensive and grounded understanding of Islamic knowledge. Building upon established principles of belief and worship, this semester emphasizes clarity in creed, responsibility in social and financial matters, and stronger engagement with the Qur’an and its sciences. Students advance in Aqeedah through classical texts that reinforce Tawheed and safeguard belief from deviation, while fiqh studies expand to cover transactions and inheritance, addressing real-life obligations with legal precision and ethical awareness. Continued study of Tafseer and Arabic deepens reflection on accountability, the Hereafter, and divine wisdom, strengthening both understanding and certainty. Alongside this, sustained focus on Hadith, spiritual purification, and Qur’anic sciences refines character and methodology, preparing students for higher-level study and thoughtful application in the semesters ahead.

Tafseer & Arabic (Advanced Comprehension)

In Tafseer 3, students continue their study of Tafseer As-Sa‘di, covering Surah Al-Mulk to Surah Al-Mursalat. These powerful chapters emphasize themes of accountability, the Hereafter, divine authority, and reflection upon Allah’s creation, calling the reader to faith, humility, and certainty. Through guided explanation, students deepen their spiritual awareness and strengthen conviction by connecting Qur’anic messages to personal responsibility and belief in the unseen.

 

Alongside this, Arabic 3 advances grammatical proficiency through the study of adjectives, derived nouns, and direct Qur’anic applications of grammar rules. This progression allows students to analyze verses with greater accuracy, recognize linguistic nuances, and follow classical explanations more confidently. Together, Tafseer and Arabic in this semester significantly enhance students’ ability to engage the Qur’an with understanding, precision, and thoughtful reflection.

 

Aqeedah (Deepening Creed & Tawheed)

In Semester 3, students advance to Aqeedah 3, focusing on intermediate-level creed through the study of Al-Aqeedah At-Tahawiyyah alongside Kitab at-Tawheed. This stage deepens students’ understanding of Tawheed in all its categories, clarifies the foundational principles of Islamic belief, and reinforces the correct approach to knowing Allah and worshipping Him alone. Through these classical texts, students explore essential matters related to faith, belief, and submission to divine revelation.

 

The course also addresses deviations related to shirk, innovation, and misconceptions concerning Allah’s names, attributes, and rights, equipping students with the tools to identify and avoid errors in belief. Through structured and guided study, students gain greater clarity, confidence, and intellectual discipline in creed, enabling them to distinguish authentic Islamic belief from distorted or unfounded ideas while remaining firmly grounded in the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah.

 

 

Fiqh (Transactions & Social Obligations)

In Fiqh 3, students expand their legal understanding beyond acts of worship into the areas of business transactions and inheritance, continuing their structured study of Akhsar al-Mukhtasarat. This course introduces the foundational principles governing financial dealings, contracts, lawful earning, and ethical conduct in commerce, ensuring that students understand how Islamic law regulates wealth and social interactions. Students also study the rules of inheritance, learning how wealth is distributed with justice and balance after death according to divine guidance.

 

Through this study, students gain practical fiqh that is directly relevant to real-world responsibilities, including financial decision-making and social obligations. Emphasis is placed on fairness, accountability, and adherence to Islamic principles, equipping students to navigate complex financial and social matters with confidence, integrity, and awareness of their responsibilities before Allah.

 

 

Hadith, Tazkiyah & Qur’anic Sciences

Semester 3 further strengthens character, methodology, and scholarly discipline through continued studies in Hadith, Tazkiyah, and Qur’anic sciences. In Hadith, students continue memorization and detailed explanation of selected narrations from Imam An-Nawawi and Ibn Rajab, while also being introduced to Bulugh al-Maram, which connects hadith evidence directly to fiqh rulings. This study reinforces the practical application of the Sunnah and deepens students’ understanding of how prophetic guidance shapes belief, worship, and daily conduct.

 

Alongside this, Tazkiyah 3, based on the works of Ibn al-Qayyim, focuses on the purification of the soul and the levels of servitude to Allah, guiding students toward sincerity, self-awareness, and spiritual maturity. Complementing these subjects, Uloom al-Qur’an introduces the foundational sciences of the Qur’an, enabling students to better understand revelation, preservation, compilation, and interpretation within a sound scholarly framework. Together, these studies refine students’ character, strengthen methodology, and prepare them for deeper engagement with Islamic scholarship.
